Charlotte's First Present

Well, we have had presents under the tree for several weeks and Charlotte has up until now just looked and touched them. Today, as we were cleaning she started tearing the wrapping paper off of her present from us. Oh no, she now knows what to do with presents. Not a present under the tree will be safe. Hopefully this gift will entertain her for a while and luckily Christmas Eve is tomorrow.

Building Gingerbread Houses

Grandma had us over for gingerbread house decorating. She invited her neighbor, Davey, as well. He is pictured with Ben. Then when the Konieczkas came to visit we demolished them with a hammer and had an extreme home make-over.

The Feast of Saint Lucy

In honor of Saint Lucy's feast day we made Mia's a wreath with candles to wear and Mia's made cinnamon rolls. We took a number of pictures and video of the many stages.

First, we had to knead the dough...

Then, we rolled out the dough and added the inside.
We rolled it back up and cut slices.
We let them rise in a warm place.

Next, we baked them in the oven.

Tada, yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast!

We went to the park to take some pictures.
Since we didn't have too many leaves it was fun to play in some.

Well, the leaves have finally fall off the tree and a great big wind hasn't come to blow them all away. The temperature is in the high 60's. So, Charlotte enjoyed the leaves for the first time. There are a ton of pictures so keep scrolling down.
