Here we are playing out in the leaves. They are taking quite awhile to fall to the ground. It is suppose to be 40 degrees by the end of the week, so maybe that will help.
Here are the kids on Halloween. We went to the immediate neighbors for treats and then went to an All Saints' Day Party. We played St. Therese's Rose Toss, St. Patrick's Shamrock Toss, St. John Bosco Bowling, Pin the Halo on the Saint, St. Cecelia's Musical Chairs, St. Isidore's Produce Roll and several others. For each game they played they got a piece of candy and there was plenty of candy to go around. Then they shared in a large group about their saint and everyone guessed who they were. There were at least 40 kids. The kids had a lot of fun. And I didn't miss trick or treating and handing out candy. Halloween has unfortunately changed. Crummy candy, scary or slutty costumes, parents asking for candy because their kids are too tired to come to the door, kids not even in costumes wanting candy are all things I can do without. This was a positive experience and we hope to do it again next year.
I am a Catholic, stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of five beautiful children and wife to a wonderful husband. If I had any free time I would love to crochet and sew. I also love to camp.
