SNOW!!!
We enjoyed 6 inches of snow today. The temperature was great and the snow was just perfect for making snowmen. The youngest only napped for a 1/2 hour. He knew we were outside having fun without him. So, he joined us for his first time playing in the snow. He did more watching than anything else. But he didn't fuss. Our snowman is named Frosty (surprise, surprise). Here is the youngest trying to make snow angels but the snow flakes kept falling in his eyes. Tomorrow, Daddy is taking the older two sledding.
Christmas Day
The kids had a great Christmas! The oldest got a pirate ship and accessories from Santa. He also received the game Guess Who? with super heroes. The middle child received an apron and oven mitts, a Strawberry Shortcake backpack and a Strawberry Shortcake book. And the youngest received a barrel of monkeys, some bath toys and Old MacDonald puppet. We went to Grandma's for the day and received lots more presents.

Christmas Eve
Here we are opening presents. The oldest got a guitar. He is a very serious musician. The middle child received a puppet theater. She is very at home in it. And the youngest child is playing with his three men in a tub found on ebay. He still has the scars of his amoxicillin episode. We are still waiting for the Benadryl to do its job. Below is the oldest jammin' on his new instrument.

Santa Came to Visit
Santa came to visit us. The oldest was very excited and received foam dominoes. The middle child was shaking and wanted to be far away from him but eventually sat next to him with her brothers. She received a neon green fuzzy purse. And the youngest was very unsure of this strange man. He received a stuffed bear. We enjoy Santa's visits every year. We are glad that our neighbors have connections.
We're Ready to Party
We went to my women's group Christmas party. We ate cookies, cheese, and fruit. We drank punch and we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. It was a lot of fun.

Pictures of the Kids
Here are some pictures of the kids. I finally had a chance to sit down and publish a bunch of posts today. Some of the pictures are a little fuzzy. I was playing with the light.
The Nativity Play
Here is our wise man with his fellow wise men. Our angel didn't have pictures that turned out and the littlest one was a doggie who refused to participate.
Sleigh Ride
We went on a field trip to Williams' Tree Farm where we went on a sleigh ride. It wa a lot of fun! It had just snowed so it was beautiful. We ate lunch there and decorated cookies.

Playing in the Leaves
Here we are playing out in the leaves. They are taking quite awhile to fall to the ground. It is suppose to be 40 degrees by the end of the week, so maybe that will help.

Happy Halloween/All Saints' Day
Here are the kids on Halloween. We went to the immediate neighbors for treats and then went to an All Saints' Day Party. We played St. Therese's Rose Toss, St. Patrick's Shamrock Toss, St. John Bosco Bowling, Pin the Halo on the Saint, St. Cecelia's Musical Chairs, St. Isidore's Produce Roll and several others. For each game they played they got a piece of candy and there was plenty of candy to go around. Then they shared in a large group about their saint and everyone guessed who they were. There were at least 40 kids. The kids had a lot of fun. And I didn't miss trick or treating and handing out candy. Halloween has unfortunately changed. Crummy candy, scary or slutty costumes, parents asking for candy because their kids are too tired to come to the door, kids not even in costumes wanting candy are all things I can do without. This was a positive experience and we hope to do it again next year.
