Charlotte and Bear - 5 months

Ok, this post is really late. I took the picture on time so that is what counts. Be on the lookout for a new picture this week because my baby turns 6 months.

Arizona Visitors

We had a great time with Aunt Carine, Margaret, and Michael. We went to see Toy Story 3, mini-golfing and go-karts. We took Daddy out for his birthday and had Culver's for dessert. And we played with them for endless hours. Thanks, Margaret, for the volleyball lessons. Thanks, Michael, for the Wii Little League Games.

Joe's First Movie

While Aunt Carine, Margaret and Michael were here Joe went to see his first movie theater movie: Toy Story 3. He had a great time and enjoy the popcorn. His favorite part of the movie was when the toys were thrown into the trash.

The Fourth of July

I know that I am very late with these pictures but better late than never. Our Fourth of July started with Mass. We came home and took some pictures. Getting four children to cooperate at the same time is quite difficult.

Our afternoon was spent at some friends' riverhouse. The kids played in the sand and there was good food to eat. I made the s'mores on a stick seen below. They were really easy to make and Mia was able to help. We made over 100 of them.

Our early evening was rained out so we went to the People of Praise building with some friends and watched a movie and then on to the fireworks. We had to get home and to bed because we had some important visitors the next day.

Vacation Bible School 2010

For Ben's birthday he received a book that played parts of speeches for each president. This quickly became their favorite. They hope to memorize one from Abraham Lincoln next.

First Baseball Game

Ben has had two baseball games now.
These pictures are from opening day.

During the games he has played a few positions.
He has been left field (as seen above), third base, and his favorite position, catcher (as seen below).

He has been a very successful batter.
He has been up 6 times.
He hit 5 singles and was tagged out once on the way to first.
He has made it home twice.
Here he is on second base.
He is still working on running hard to each base.

Happy 7th Birthday, Ben!

Today was quite a busy day. The morning started with doughnuts and chocolate milk. Then Ben opened some more birthday presents. He got 2 paddle and ball sets, a hacky sack, and a rubber band powered airplane (all bought at Michaels last night when I was stuck there in a rain storm). He also got MarioKart cards purchased from E-bay and mailed from Alaska. Then we headed for the Newburns. We planted basil and flowers. We made pizzas and ate cake. I had a dentist appointment, then swimming lessons, dinner, and baseball practice. What a day! Happy birthday, buddy. We love you!

An Early Birthday Gift

Well, because rain was expected for Ben's birthday we gave him his birthday gift a few days early. Considering that I bought the bike the day after Thanksgiving, this was pretty good for me. It was long overdue. He has grown quite a bit and his bike was way too small.
